Crème Caramel LA is a custard + confection dessert shop specializing in traditional and Filipino inspired ingredients and recipes. We started in 2010 as a farmers’ market sweet booth and opened a sweet bakeshop in Sherman Oaks in 2013.  Our crème caramels, custard pies, and bread puddings, formed the base of our sweet offerings, but since opening our storefront, we’ve expanded our menu to savory quiches and stratas, and other delectable pastries and baked goods.  Along with fantastic eats, we've added a robust coffee program from Cafecito Organico (another farmers’ market favorite).  Partners, Kristine de la Cruz and Sean Gilleland, strive to develop comfort food with a twist while providing a community base for the surrounding neighborhood. We're currently accepting applications and resumes for a part time early A.M. delivery driver and part time counter staff. Please review the requirements below for details. Customer Service is what brings people back to our shop. As you interact with customers, you represent Crème Caramel LA and the entirety of their experience relies on you. Assisting our guests with a smile and listening to both the customers and your co-workers makes for a happy work environment. We have the best customers around and our friendly, positive, and helpful staff are FANTASTIC. 

Delivery Driver: ($10.50/hour plus mileage)

Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Make deliveries of our product to residential and commercial locations.
•    Learn the names and personally recognize our regulars.
•    Cross-training for other positions as needed such as phone order taker, and order preparation.
•    Record completed delivery orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the log sheet.
•    Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
•    Clean and maintain equipment and work area associated with the job function.
•    Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to manager.
•    Assist the restocking and replenishment of product and supplies as stipulated in the shift duties.
•    Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the shop as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor. 
•    Be able to prioritize best routing for more than one delivery at a time.  

Qualifications:
•    Be 18 years of age.
•    Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
•    Possess suitable communications skills to create a positive interaction experience with our customers.
•    Possess a valid state driving license.
•    Have use of a properly maintained, licensed, and street-legal vehicle capable of driving up to two-hundred miles per day and/or be able to drive our company cargo van safely.
•    Maintain minimal or higher insurance coverage as mandated by state law.
•    Maintain an acceptable driving record as stipulated by company policy or insurance carrier.
•    Be capable of reading a map and interpreting written directions.
•    Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and make change.
•    Be able to work in a sitting while driving, standing, and walking position with frequent changes between positions.
•    Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Counter Staff ($10.50/hour plus tips)

Duties & Responsibilities:
•     Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them.
•    Inform guests of company history, popular items, specials and menu changes.
•    Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
•    Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other shop functions and services.
•    Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system.
•    Deliver food and beverages from kitchen to guests in a timely matter. Package food and beverages to ensure product maintains integrity during transportation.
•    Take orders and prepare beverages according to customer's specifications.
•    Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment. Including packaging outside orders.
•    Maintain clean service areas.
•    Monitor and observe guest dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
•    Prepare final bill, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
•    Be ready and willing to assist fellow coworkers as situations arise.
•    Be ready and willing to clear tables.
•    Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
•    Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the shop as directed by the  manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:
•    Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
•    Must have a basic knowledge of dining area service procedures and functions.
•    Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
•    Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
•    Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
